Stability, plus man not on trigger is the assistant gunner, he loads, clears and keeps the gun up. An emplaced belt-fed machine gun is just about the most devastating thing infantry can use while on the move.

Pull your springs out, run some CLP through the mags and you can buy really good quality Magpul sping and bottom plates for less than buying more mags. This can also get you PMAG level performance on surplus mag budget.

That 28 rounds is no joke. I’ve had more failure to feeds from that than anything else.
